Greg Marshall is a Calgary-based video and media artist whose practice navigates the tension between intimate memory and larger political and technological systems. His work combines conceptual inquiry with technical experimentation, often drawing on public databases and geographic data to construct immersive, meditative visual experiences. Marshall’s projects question how emerging technologies shape perception, narrative, and human agency.

He holds an MFA from the University of Calgary (2024) and a Diploma in Visual Arts (1994) from the Alberta College of Art and Design (now Alberta University of the Arts). His work has been exhibited in over 20 countries. His installation Phalanx was nominated for the New Technology Art Award 2025 in Ghent, Belgium, where his earlier work bearing was also nominated in 2019. His video Between the Blur was nominated for the 16th Juan Downey Art Award (2022) in Santiago, Chile.
